Lighting Up Pesach

Tel Aviv

Pesach (Passover to some of you) is fast approaching. To prepare for the holiday, Jews all over the world are cleaning their homes, offices and cars to get rid of their hometz (bread and bread-like substances) and re-stock their kitchens with foods and even drugs that are acceptable for consumption and/or ownership during the holiday. And this is where the infinite ability of the Tribe to pick nits becomes a huge source of agnozing for some and entertainment for the rest of us. For example, until this morning, my all time favorite Pesach question (asked on a call-in radio show) is whether Preparation H needs a hecksher (certifying its OK to eat during the holiday).

She is still in the pantheon but has to move over to make room for the Green Leaf Party. Green Leaf is a political organization that runs candidates for office on a platform to legalize marijuana in Israel.
